Context

Taking the plane is a fast way to travel. However, we still lose plenty of time when we land, and it can take a lot of time to get back home. Indeed, the person that come to pick you up is often late or really early depending on whether your plane is on time or not, and it is a lost of time for both you that are travelling and the person that will drive you to your house.
Thus, what could be the solution? Sending automatically an SMS to the person you chose to pick you up as soon as your plane land.

How it works ?

First, create an IFTT applet using a webhook 1) Register or create your account and click on "New Applet »
2) For the IF condition select « Webhooks" and then click on the "connect" button
3) Then click on "receive a web request » and name your event « theplanelanded" & click on "create trigger »
4) Click on "+that" and select « android sms », then choose "send a sms »
5) Enter the phone number of the person that will pick you up
6) Finally click on "create action" and « finish"
